Course of Fire All classes will fire the CMP Course " A " Unlimited rounds in 5 minutes - sighters 10 rounds in 10 minutes slow fire prone 10 rounds in 80 seconds rapid fire prone 10 rounds in 10 minutes slow fire standing AWARDS This will be a CMP sanctioned event CMP achievement award pins will be awarded on the cut-score system Garand Unlimited Garand Springfield Rifle Vintage Rifle Carbine Gold 281 + 285+ 282 + 277 + 250+ Silver 273 - 280 278 - 284 274 - 281 269 - 276 237 - 249 Bronze 264 - 272 266 - 277 264 - 273 257 - 268 220 - 236 Garand class rifles will be "AS-ISSUED" rifles only ~ "Unlimited Garand" class rifles must be actual non As-Issued. To qualify for the Springfield class the rifle must be a "AS-ISSUED" Springfield model 1903 or model 1903A3. To qualify for the Vintage class the rifle must be a "AS-ISSUED" US Model 1917 or US Krag rifle OR any "AS-ISSUED" foreign military rifle that is manually operated and in military configuration. Modern Military / OPEN class rifles can be military rifles of U.S. or Foreign manufacture thats weight and exterior configuration is the same as any issued rifle that the military of that country uses. No optics allowed of any kind. "Modern Military / OPEN Class" rifles will be eligible for prize money but no CMP pins will be awarded for this class. There will be a total of $300 in prize money given out. The top shooter in each of the 6 Rifle classes will receive $25. Then one prize for $100 & one for $50, these two prizes will be awarded by a drawing. Each shooters will receive a ticket for every 25 points scored in one match fired. So the maximum amount of tickets any one shooter can receive is 12 for a perfect score of 300. If you shoot multiple rifles/relays you can choose the highest score to obtain the most tickets. CMP award pins will be awarded during the one hour + lunch break after relay 3, and at the end of the match. All other awards will be awarded after the match, so plan on spending the day. If a person is not present the prize will be awarded to the next person in attendance. SAFETY * SAFETY * SAFETY It is each shooters responsibility to show they can handle, operate, and fire their weapon in a safe manner. Any shooter judged unable to conduct themselves in this way will be removed from the firing line. This is entirely at the discretion of the range officer calling the line, no refund will be given. Relay positions will be filled on a first come first serve basis as I receive entries.
